Bio

Cris Ortega is a spanish digital artist and writer. After studying in the Art School of Valladolid, she worked as Art Director on an advertising agency, publishing at the same time her comics and artworks on several magazines and publishing houses.


At the end of 2005 she began to work as illustrator for Norma Editorial, publishing with them her first artbook with written stories, "Forgotten", artbook series with three volumes that had been translated to several languages. Since then she has published several books, including the artbook "Nocturna" (2011), the comic "Reflections" (2014), the novels "The shadow of the Red Crow" volumes 1 y 2 (2016 - part of a grimdark fantasy series), and her most recent artbook "Gold & Sword" (2018).


Her works can be found in book covers, puzzles and posters, videogames, on well known artbooks -like Exotique and Spectrum-, in a lot of merchandising products and games and exposed in several exhibitions. At the moment she works full time as freelance artist.
